I have been threatened over the months to expect a visit from Rico “Bitchardo”.. (no he is not Spanish..)
Anyhoo he rocked in crashed for 5 daze and grooved around Welliwood..
Unfortunately I was bloody working the whole bloomin time, but we managed to scam a few days in..
Also went out on the booze in town and checked out a few groovy bars..
Of course I took him to The Hummingbird.. Well sort of, he was actually in the bar a few down the street watching a rugby match.. Oh well.. And bloody Wellington lost against the Crusaders.. (Canterbury)..His town..
We grooved around, met a few interesting people and made it home by “Pumkin Time”
Thanks for coming over Rico, was great seeing you..
Still waiting for the recipe of the most Kickass Pumpkin souppe I have ever tasted..
Will be posted on here as soon as I get it..

As we are nearing the cooler months of the year..Yeas..I am ready for the cold!!
Well at least the garden and plants will be..
I decided to construct finally the Green house..
NB..If you go back a million posts there are digital pictures of how i wanted the garden to look..
So I have stuck to plan and built the green house.. I have had past experiences with contructing bits out of wood as i made the wall for the boarder betwixt the pond and the back area..
So I went and recieved my groovy deals from work..I think i received over 50 metres of wood to contruct the frame and went for it..
Previously when building the retaining wall I grabbed 4 extra posts and concreted them into the ground as foundations..So i simply knocked all the wood together with my trusty B&D Drop saw..(I am the butch one)!! HA!
The total space is 2m SQ.. so lots of space.
I added some shelving with solid wire benching and enough top support beams to hang a Babalonian style garden..
I quickly went around the yard rescuing plants that would not survive minor frosts and chilly air..
Now i have to put in a door of some sort..Might just make a flap that can be rolled up.
Also have to put in a top lifting panel to exhume the air during the hotter months..
All done..nearly..

Filed under: Frank, Scleranthus Biflorus, Weta, creatures, dirt, garden, house, visitors
This groover, Named “Frank”, was found schmoozing with the crew at work last week.
Much to staff member Liz’s horror, who would not go closer than 8 metres to the beauty.. hee hee.
Weta can bite. Tree weta bites are particularly common. They can also inflict painful scratches with the potential of infection. Weta are known to arc their hind legs into the air in warning to foes. (1st Photo)
I was over the moon when I found him, i knew he would not survive in there with all those angry ignorant hard soled shoes..So away went Frank to weta nirvana at Stokestropolis, aptly named by Luke.. Onya..
These guys are one week short of living with a VelocaRapter..
I placed him on some wonderful Native Scleranthus Biflorus and he sat mighty still for the shots, then grooved off into the bush to hopefully find a new home..
Welcome Frank!!
